This role is conducted onsite in a hospital setting, providing a dynamic and collaborative atmosphere where interdisciplinary teamwork is essential. You will work closely with a team of healthcare professionals, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, and specialists from various fields, to create comprehensive treatment plans. • Assist physical therapists in conducting thorough evaluations and assessments of patients’ physical abilities, limitations, and progress.
• Implement prescribed treatment plans, guiding patients through exercises, manual therapies, and activities of daily living, such as gait training and strengthening exercises.
• Monitor patient performance during therapy sessions, documenting progress and reporting any changes or concerns to the supervising physical therapist.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members through regular communications and discussions to ensure cohesive and adaptive treatment strategies based on patient feedback.
• Teach patients correct methods for performing therapeutic exercises and activities to optimize recovery and prevent future injuries.

You will engage with high school, collegiate, and professional athletes, addressing various injuries ranging from sprained ankles to post-surgical rehabilitation following complex surgeries. • A Bachelor’s degree in a related field or an Associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program is required.
• Unrestricted Physical Therapist Assistant Licensure in Florida is mandatory to practice.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and professional colleagues at all levels are essential.
• At least two years of clinical experience in a physical therapy setting, particularly in sports or orthopedic rehabilitation, is preferred.

• Experience working in a hospital environment or with a sports-focused clientele is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems to document patient care and progress.
• Certifications in specialized therapeutic techniques, such as dry needling or sports rehabilitation, can enhance your application.
