Ellie Mental Health Alexandria is seeking a Resident in Psychology to join our clinician-focused private practice in Old Town Alexandria. This role is designed for post-doctoral candidates who have completed or are close to completing their PhD or PsyD. This position provides a supportive environment to earn supervised hours for Virginia licensure.
Clinical Environment and Support
Our team in Old Town Alexandria is collaborative and clinician-focused. We provide therapists with private offices to help maintain a safe and confidential space for sessions. To support your growth, our practice provides state-of-the-art tech, marketing for a steady stream of referrals, and full administrative support. In this role, you will provide high-quality, evidence-based psychotherapy to a diverse clientele, with opportunities to work with individuals, couples, and families based on your expertise.
Job Responsibilities
Evaluate mental health diagnosis, create, and implement a treatment plan, complete ongoing documentation including further diagnosis, treatment plan reviews, and case notes according to company policy
Provide excellent customer service for clients and collaborate with a dynamic team to further the mission of filling gaps in our community
Utilize creativity in interventions to help clients achieve and exceed goals
Prepare and submit individual documentation for each session per company guidelines and protocol
For Full-Time status clinicians must maintain a caseload of a minimum of 25 client visits per week
Coordinate services with case managers, families, work personnel, medical personnel, other Ellie staff, and school staff as needed
Attend and participate in all clinical staff meetings and trainings
Qualifications
Completion of a doctoral degree (PhD or PsyD) in clinical psychology, counseling psychology, or a related behavioral science field from an accredited university
Eligibility for registration as a Resident in Psychology with the Virginia Board of Psychology
Required experienced in completing psychosocial assessments, treatment plans, and clinical case notes
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Ability to demonstrate and model stable, appropriate boundaries with clients
Ability to complete and submit documentation of services and other documents in a timely manner
Comfort and familiarity working with a diverse client base
Proficient in the use of Office 365 and Electronic Health Record systems (Valant experience a plus!)

Compensation
Full Time Annual range $80,000 - $90,000
