As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, your role will entail a variety of impactful responsibilities, including:

• Conducting comprehensive individual and group therapy sessions in the homes of clients to meet them in their environment and build trust.
• Prioritizing therapeutic techniques that address anger management, coping mechanisms, and social skills development to mitigate high-risk behaviors such as self-injurious behavior (SIB) and violence.
• Empowering both children and caregivers by improving their skills in decision-making and behavioral management.
• Collaborating effectively with the Child Family Treatment Team and other interdisciplinary professionals to coordinate care tailored to the specific needs of each child and family.
• Completing all necessary documentation promptly, including intake evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes, ensuring compliance with organizational standards.
• Participating in regular team meetings to contribute insights and recommendations that enhance client treatment planning and family support strategies.

The primary client focus of your role involves working with children and adolescents aged 3-20 who are experiencing developmental challenges and intellectual disabilities. You will work closely with families, providing them the tools and strategies needed to navigate the complexities of their child’s condition, ultimately benefiting overall family dynamics and the child's well-being.

To excel in this position, candidates must possess:

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field.
• A valid and unrestricted License for Marriage and Family Therapy (LMFT).
• A valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle for home visits.
• Successful completion of a comprehensive criminal background check, including fingerprinting.

While not mandatory, the following experiences are highly valued:

• Prior experience with positive behavior support methodologies.
• Experience working with children and adolescents who have intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD).
• Availability to provide therapeutic services during evenings, specifically a minimum of 5-10 hours per week between 4 PM - 7 PM, which aligns with after-school schedules.
• Bilingual capabilities in Spanish or Portuguese, which can significantly enhance your effectiveness in supporting our diverse clientele.

This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from $90,000 to $105,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Our benefits package includes:
