QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Doctoral degree in Clinical or Health Psychology (PhD or PsyD) from a university-based graduate program fully accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA) or Canadian Psychological Association (CPA). Note: This requirement assumes completion of a one-year pre-doctoral internship that is APA- or CPA-accredited, or its substantial equivalent, i.e., a member program of Association of Psychology Postdoctoral and Internship Centers (APPIC).

  • Texas license to practice Psychology issued by the Texas State Board of Examiners of Psychologists (TSBEP), or license-eligible in Texas. Note: This requirement assumes completion of one-year of Postdoctoral supervised training (1,750 hours), preferably from an APA-accredited Postdoctoral Fellowship Program in Health Service Psychology or an APPIC-member program.
  • Preference given to candidates who are Board-certified in Clinical or Clinical Health Psychology through the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP), or whose professional trajectory includes board certification when eligible.
