Job description

We are hiring a clinician postdoctoral scholar to work on research aimed at improving access, reliability, and patient flow across the perioperative care pathway.

The project

Delays and disruptions in perioperative care can affect patient health, strain clinical workflows, and leave valuable OR capacity unused. Our group is using data-driven approaches to better understand the patient- and system-level factors behind these challenges and to evaluate practical strategies that improve access, continuity, and care delivery.

What the work involves

  • Prospective patient-facing clinical research
  • Identifying and characterizing barriers to perioperative care
  • Chart review and clinical interpretation of patient and health-system data
  • Working with clinical and research teams to design and evaluate interventions
  • Translating findings into approaches that can be implemented in real-world perioperative workflows

Who might be a fit

You might be a fit if you hold an MD, DO, RN, NP, master’s degree, PhD, or comparable degree, with an interest in health services research, care access, quality improvement, or perioperative medicine. Experience working with surgical or perioperative patients is a plus.
