Job description

Providence Alaska Medical Center is seeking a full-time Licensed Clinical Pediatric Psychologist to join our Outpatient Behavioral Health and Child Development clinics. Our Behavioral Health Providers are integral members of our patient care team. You will collaborate with our multidisciplinary team in providing compassionate and empathetic care to help improve the overall health of our patients which is made up of a diverse, multicultural, multilingual population. As a Behavioral Health Provider, you will perform several duties including: evaluating and stabilizing patients who may be in crisis while in clinic, conducting diagnostic interviews and making treatment recommendations for patients referred to you by their PCP, support in providing timely diagnosis to children with developmental concerns, providing brief, solution-focused therapy when appropriate, psychotherapy, consulting with PCP and other care team members as needed. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to provide supervision and training to interns and post-doc caregivers.   • Full-time; clinic day schedule
  • Masters or doctoral degree in psychology, social work, or health-related field

  • 2 years of experience providing pediatric psychology services
  • Strong foundational knowledge of comprehensive mental health issues in both theory and practice
  • Knowledge, training, and experience utilizing assessment techniques and evidence-based interventions for specific populations
