Job description
The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) is seeking a psychologist with expertise in psychological assessment and testing to join the MCW Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine Tosa Center Clinic. This is an academic position, which requires a combination of teaching, patient care, and research, as well as administrative activities, that are necessary for the function of the department. This role will primarily support the outpatient Tosa Center Clinic at Froedtert and MCW, providing essential psychological assessment and testing services the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine, other referral sources throughout the health system (e.g., neuropsychology), and community referrals. The psychologist will have expertise in objective assessment and testing. Experience in projective testing is preferred but not required. Many of the referral questions addressed will be differential psychiatric diagnosis, ADHD testing, and testing for autism spectrum disorders. The psychologist in this position will be responsible for creating a Differential Diagnosis and Psychological Assessment Clinic in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine Tosa Center Clinic. Additionally, there are opportunities for the faculty member to provide empirically supported behavioral treatments and interventions in collaboration with the Empirically Support Treatment (EST) psychology group.
The Tosa Center Clinic is an MCW multidisciplinary psychiatric clinic with psychologists, psychiatrists, psychiatric advanced practice providers, mental health therapists (LPC, LSCW, MFT), psychiatric nurses, and a psychiatric pharmacist. Additionally, the Tosa Center Clinic provides premier psychiatric home treatment for patients dealing with psychiatric concerns, including biological treatments such as medication management, TMS, and esketamine treatment and behavioral treatments such as individual psychotherapy, group psychotherapy, empirically supported treatments, and behavioral health. The academic clinic is also engaged in training practicum students with the potential for training psychology interns or fellows in the future.
Provide psychological evaluations and formal psychological testing for patients in need of differential diagnosis for complex psychiatric concerns.
Expertise in autism spectrum disorders in adulthood and ADHD in adulthood are required
Use of multimodal assessment for differential diagnosis and treatment planning.
Development of a Differential Diagnosis and Psychological Assessment Clinic

- Eligible for psychology licensure in the State of Wisconsin
- Doctorate in Clinical or Counseling Psychology from an APA-Accredited program

- Fellowship experience in psychological testing, assessment, and/or neuropsychology
- Extensive psychological report preparation experience
