Bronx Cardiology Private Practice is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our team in Jacksonville, Florida. Work Environment

This full-time position is aligned with our vision of delivering quality patient care within an Assisted Living Facility setting. The work schedule is structured around regular business hours, from 9 am to 5 pm, allowing for a balanced work-life dynamic. At Bronx Cardiology, you will be joining a team of passionate professionals devoted to mental health care, including physicians, nurses, and therapists, who work together to provide comprehensive care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough psychiatric assessments and evaluations to diagnose and determine appropriate treatment plans for patients' mental health conditions.
  • Manage medication treatment, tailoring prescriptions to each patient's needs while closely monitoring the effectiveness and side effects of prescribed therapies.
  • Collaborate effectively with primary care providers and other healthcare team members to ensure integrated care that addresses both physical and mental health issues.
  • Provide crisis intervention support to patients experiencing emotional distress, ensuring timely access to care and resources.
  • Engage in community outreach efforts and educational initiatives aimed at promoting mental health awareness and destigmatizing mental illness.
  • Deliver therapeutic support through counseling and psychoeducation, empowering patients to cope with challenges and improve their mental well-being.
  • Maintain patient records with precision and confidentiality, strictly adhering to HIPAA guidelines and organizational policies.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will work predominantly with a diverse patient population, including adults and seniors, many of whom reside in assisted living facilities. This demographic often presents with varying mental health issues, such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, and other mood disorders. Our team is committed to tailoring individualized care plans that respect each patient's cultural background and life experiences.

Qualifications
  • A Master's degree in Nursing with a specialization as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner.
  • Current state licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) with a psychiatric focus.

Compensation and Benefits
