Job description:

Conduct psychiatric evaluations including mental health histories, risk assessments, and diagnostic interviews.

Diagnose mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorders, schizophrenia, PTSD, ADHD, etc.

Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings and patient goals.

Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications, including monitoring effectiveness and side effects.

Perform crisis intervention for patients experiencing acute psychiatric symptoms or safety concerns.

Order and interpret diagnostic tests (labs, screenings) as appropriate for psychiatric care.

Conduct regular medication follow-ups and adjust treatment plan as needed.

Required Qualifications:

Active and unrestricted Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) in the state of Georgia.

Masters or Doctoral Degree in Nursing (MSN, DNP) from an accredited PMHNP program.

Valid DEA registration (or eligibility to obtain), including authorization to prescribe controlled substances.

Minimum 1-2 years of clinical experience in psychiatric or mental health setting.
