We are seeking an experienced, Part Time Activities Assistant to join our team in Reno, NV. Mountain Lakes Estates is an Independent Living community where designing and fostering an exceptional lifestyle experience for our residents is at the center of everything we do. Our proprietary lifestyle program, the LIFE, is the framework for our environment of growth, creativity, fun, friendship, and independence. Our beautiful, modern apartments, coupled with premier amenities and the LIFE program, offer residents so much more than the status quo. We build our teams with talented, motivated people who have a passion for service and the drive to create an outstanding living environment for our residents.


This position also coordinates the joining of marketing and social events under the supervision of the Executive Director. Due to the nature of this position, evening and weekends hours are included in the work week.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and oversee all resident activities.
  • Plan, schedule and conduct programs that provide physical, intellectual, social, emotional and spiritual opportunities for our residents in our community.
  • Attend all community planned functions and help coordinate the event from beginning to end including set-up, running, and breaking down for the event.
  • Assist in preparing and organizing a calendar of events.
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours (evenings and every other weekend) for planned activity events.
  • Must be willing to drive residents to events using the company shuttle bus.
Requirements:
  • Associate’s Degree in recreation, sociology, psychology or related field preferred.
  • One to three years experience in senior type living setting.
  • Proficient verbal, written and presentation skills.
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Experience with posting/marketing on social media.
  • Demonstrated creative ability.
  • Strong skills in organization, delegation, and consensus building.
  • Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record.
