Nature & Purpose of Position
Student Assistant at the Psychological Services Center (PSC) must possess the ability to operate in a few key capacities. In addition to fielding incoming calls, a student assistant is responsible for the general maintenance and operation of A/V equipment; handles the various filing and back office needs of the PSC; and supports the faculty, staff, and students of the Clinical Psychology Doctoral Program. This position will also require packing and moving boxes among offices.
Due to frequent interaction with the public, student assistants have the opportunity to make lasting impressions on those with whom the PSC deals. The ability to evenly and effectively articulate information is crucial, as each will be expected to uphold the PSC's standards of professionalism and confidentiality.
Punctuality, dependability, and a collaborative spirit are essential for the position. Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (and of technology generally) is desirable.
