Summary:
This position will work closely with patients and families, psychologist, physicians, research staff, and other healthcare professionals to administer standardized developmental testing for young children receiving primary care in a NICU follow-up clinic. Experience administering the Bayley Scales of Infant Development is strongly preferred.
Licensure in Texas as a Licensed Psychological Associate is required. Applicants must have taken and passed the Examination for Professional Practice in Psychology (EPPP) and completed all education requirements for LPA licensure to be considered for this position. Responsibilities:
* Evaluates and responds to patient's needs during evaluation; manages patient behavior and controls testing environment to ensure accuracy of performance.
* Consults with supervising provider regarding unusual aspects of patient's condition or behavior which might indicate a change in tests administered.
* Provides thorough documentation of observation of patients' behavior during testing.
* Scores psychological and neuropsychological tests according to normative standards and judgment by using test manuals and computer scoring programs.
* Records and compiles a summary of data and of patient's test results.
* May assist with research projects including consenting participants and extraction of test data for analyses.
* Routinely inventories testing supplies, requisitions supplies as needed.
* Keeps current on research, best practices, and ethical/legal standards applicable to psychological testing.
* Ability to meet physical and non-physical demands as outlined in the job description is an essential function of the job.
This is a full-time position working Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
WORK EXPERIENCE
* At least 5 years related experience Required
* Experience administering the Bayley Scales of Infant Development is strongly preferred.
