OVERVIEW:
The Product Support Sales Representative (PSSR) will be responsible for improving the business success of our customers through face-to-face contact and knowledge of their operation and needs. The primary objective of the PSSR is to build relationships and establish a true partnership that will make our customers more successful by anticipating and/or recognizing their needs and supplying parts, small equipment and setting up service for their equipment. The territory for this position is
Northwestern North Dakota.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Responsible for the coverage, retention, development, and customer satisfaction within your assigned territory
  • Responsible for selling parts, service, and small whole goods within your assigned territory
  • Utilize CRM program to prepare equipment quotes and organize time
  • Work with the PSSR Manager to develop territory and promote General Equipment and Supplies Inc
  • Work with parts department, service department and territory salesman to keep customers up and running efficiently
  • Identify new customers within assigned territory to promote GES growth
  • Perform the necessary functions required for machine or equipment service and/or parts quotes i.e. undercarriage evaluations, G.E.T evaluations, fit ups, record keeping, and recommendations
  • Attend educational and training programs covering company policies, department objectives, products services and programs, professional salesmanship and personal growth
  • Responsible for keeping accurate expense records and tracking them online weekly
  • Ability to balance the business needs and goals of the company while looking out for the best interests of our customers

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • A background in construction, aggregate and/or heavy construction equipment is recommended but not required
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in sales, service, or parts in heavy construction or product support
  • Requires a valid driver's license and the ability to maintain an insurable driving record
  • A high computer comfort level and with knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel, & Outlook. Will be trained on business software and CRM software
  • Must have a positive mental attitude
  • Must have excellent customer service skills, both internal and external customers
  • Be personable, highly motivated, reliable, ethical, and able to adapt to all forces around them, customers, suppliers, coworkers, and manufacturers
  • Attain short- and long-term objectives through good time management and planning
  • Strong interpersonal skills and oral/written communication skills
  • Organizational skills with ability to effectively manage multiple projects
  • Must be willing to attend training to develop an expertise in all areas of GES products offered
