Public Service Credit Union is seeking a Relationship Specialist (Personal Banker) for our Detroit Eastside branch.
The Relationship Specialist is responsible for successfully building and maintaining long-term relationships with members and able to handle inquiries regarding accounts, effectively and efficiently, to ensure maximum member satisfaction. The Relationship Specialist must display a high level of knowledge of PSCU products, expand PSCU wallet share, and have a positive attitude. Through a needs based/consultative sales approach, the Relationship Specialist will determine and recommend products that best fit the member's needs, resulting in cross-selling effectiveness.
Job Responsibilities
  • Advise members on banking services for their needs.
  • Process and open consumer and commercial accounts, loan applications, and credit card applications.
  • Handle Electronic Loan payments and payroll/funds distributions.
  • Debit card orders, online banking, and e-statement registration.
  • Collaborate with branch to ensure leads are provided and focus on goals to maximize branch growth.
  • Actively build and maintain relationships with members through communication.
  • Accurate and timely completion of new accounts, loan packets, and any other member-related documents.

Requirements
  • 18 years or older
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1-year related sales experience or financial institution experience
  • Basic computer, math, and clerical skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Projects a professional image at every point of contact
