Location:Remote or in office at Alachua, FL., West Lafayette, IN or Eden Prairie, MN.

Compensation based on qualifications and experience:

Director level: Salary $170 - 190K / potential annual bonus $40k.

Sr. Director level: Salary $190 - 210K / potential annual bonus $50k.

Position Summary

The Director/ Sr. Director of Marketing will lead the upstream and downstream marketing strategy for the Cortiva (a medical mesh used in reconstructive surgeries) portfolio. This leader will own long-range portfolio strategy, customer insights, pricing strategy, and commercial planning. Working closely with Cross-Functional partners, including R&D, Clinical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, Compliance, Sales, and Operations, this individual will help accelerate responsible growth and strengthen Cortiva's leadership position within reconstructive surgery and regenerative medicine while operating within applicable regulatory, promotional, and compliance requirements.

  • Lead the development and execution of the long-range strategic marketing strategy for the Cortiva portfolio within reconstructive surgery.
  • Develop market growth strategies that support appropriate product adoption, strengthen approved product positioning, and maximize long-term portfolio value.
  • Lead the marketing components of than annual operation pland (AOP) and long-range, 5-year plan (LRP) in partnership with Commercial leadership and other cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Develop deep understanding of reconstructive surgery markets, surgeon workflows, competitive dynamics, reimbursement trends, and emerging technologies.
  • Partner with the Clinical Team and other appropriate stakeholders to conduct Voice of Customer (VOC) activities with plastic and reconstructive surgeons and other key stakeholders to identify unmet customer and market needs, inform commercial strategy, and surface potential clinical needs for evaluation by Clinical Affairs.
  • Lead market segmentation, customer prioritization, and competitive intelligence.
  • Monitor market trends, competitive products, competitive campaigns and emerging technologies.
  • Own upstream product strategy across the Cortiva portfolio.
  • Define product positioning, customer value propositions, pricing strategy, and commercialization planning consistent with the product’s regulatory status, supporting evidence, and approved promotional parameters.
  • Develop business cases supporting portfolio expansion and future product development.
  • Translate surgeon insights into product requirements and innovation priorities.
  • Lead cross-functional product planning from concept through commercialization.
  • Prioritize innovation investments based on customer and clinical need, commercial opportunity, and strategic fit.
Clinical Evidence Strategy
  • Partner with Clinical Affairs to incorporate market, customer, and competitive insights into evidence-generation priorities that support clinical understanding, appropriate product differentiation, and commercialization strategy.
  • Identify customer questions, evidence gaps, and potential research or educational needs for evaluation with Clinical Affairs and other appropriate cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain appropriate relationships with leading plastic and reconstructive surgeons to understand customer needs, market dynamics, and emerging trends.
  • Collaborate with Clinical Affairs and other appropriate cross-functional stakeholders to support advisory boards, Clinical Affairs-led scientific exchange, educational initiatives, and other HCP engagements in accordance with established processes and functional responsibilities.
  • Represent relevant customer and market insights throughout the commercial organization.
Experience
  • 5-10 years of progressive marketing leadership within medical devices, biologics, regenerative medicine, or surgical technologies.
  • Minimum 5 years of upstream strategic marketing experience and people management.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate effectively within highly regulated and scientifically complex markets, including the appropriate navigation of promotional, educational, and scientific exchange activities and the boundaries between Commercial, Clinical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, and Compliance.
  • Strong experience supporting Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery customers
  • Demonstrated success commercializing biologic, regenerative medicine, soft tissue reconstruction, or implantable surgical technologies.
  • Experience working with human tissue allografts, extracellular matrix products, acellular tissue technologies, or other biologic products strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated success partnering with R&D, Clinical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, Compliance, Sales, and other cross-functional teammates to advance portfolio strategy, product innovation, and responsible commercialization.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams within a regulated medical device or biologics environment.
