Job description

General Statement of Job:

The Senior Cloud Administrator is a highly skilled systems administrator responsible for the day-to-day operation, security, and continuous improvement of SIS's cloud and infrastructure environment. This individual administers the company's cloud applications, identity platforms, endpoint management, and network and security tooling, while leading the implementation of next-generation technologies that advance the company's cloud-first, Zero-Trust strategy. SIS operates a predominantly Apple environment (approximately 90% macOS), so deep Mac administration experience is essential. The Senior Cloud Administrator works within an ITIL-based operational framework and reports directly to the Senior Manager of IT Infrastructure.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Administer and maintain the company's cloud services and SaaS platforms, including Google Workspace, Box, AWS, and Microsoft Azure, ensuring availability, performance, and security
  • Manage current identity and access infrastructure across Active Directory and Entra ID, and lead the implementation and ongoing administration of a centralized Identity and Access Management platform (for example, Okta or Ping) providing Single Sign-On, multi-factor authentication, and automated joiner/mover/leaver lifecycle provisioning
  • Administer endpoint and security management tooling across a predominantly Mac environment (approximately 90% macOS, balance Windows), including JAMF for Apple device management, SentinelOne, and Windows MDM, ensuring agents are current, properly configured, monitored, and generating actionable alerts
  • Operate and modernize the network environment, supporting the migration toward a single-vendor, single-pane-of-glass architecture (for example, Cisco Meraki) designed for high availability, including firewalls, switching, wireless, and SD-WAN
  • Implement and support a Zero-Trust security model in which all access is verified, including certificate-based Wi-Fi, least-privilege role-based access, centralized logging, and integration with a Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) solution
  • Perform all work within an ITIL-aligned operational framework, including incident, problem, change, and configuration management, and contribute to the maturation of documented policies, procedures, and runbooks
  • Drive lifecycle management and remediation initiatives across endpoints, infrastructure, and cloud services, including device encryption, OS currency, patching, and decommissioning of end-of-life hardware and software
  • Maintain accurate documentation of the environment, configurations, and standard operating procedures, and support audit and compliance objectives such as ISO 27001 and SOC 2
  • Provide senior-level escalation support to the IT and Help Desk teams, and mentor junior administrators and coordinators
  • Partner with leadership to evaluate, plan, and deploy new technologies in accordance with the technology roadmap
  • Perform other related duties as required

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a similar field, and relevant experience; equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
  • 7+ years of progressive systems administration experience, including hands-on administration of cloud and SaaS platforms (such as Google Workspace, Box, AWS, and Azure) in a predominantly Apple/macOS environment (approximately 90% Mac) with some Windows
  • Demonstrated experience administering identity and access management, including Active Directory/Entra ID and a modern IdP (Okta, Ping, JumpCloud, or similar), with Single Sign-On, MFA, and automated lifecycle provisioning
  • Strong working knowledge of endpoint management and security tooling, such as JAMF, SentinelOne, and vulnerability management platforms
  • Familiarity with ITIL operational processes (incident, problem, change, and configuration management) and the ability to work effectively within a structured operations environment
  • Experience with network administration and modern, cloud-managed network platforms, including hands-on experience with Cisco Meraki or a comparable single-pane platform
  • Experience supporting security systems and security operations, including SIEM
  • Strong documentation, troubleshooting, and communication skills, with the ability to deliver a high level of customer service
  • Must be a dependable team player with business maturity, enthusiasm, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively

What we can offer:

  • $135,000 annual salary
  • Health, Dental, Vision, and 401k for eligible employees
  • Paid Time Off, including Sick/Safe Time
  • A dynamic and challenging work environment with opportunity for growth
