Position
Rockefeller Capital Management is seeking a Director of Talent Management to support the firm's enterprise-wide approach to managing, developing, and advancing our people. This role is responsible for executing key components of the firm's talent management strategy, including performance management, career frameworks and the design and delivery of learning initiatives aligned with the firm's long-term growth objectives.
The Director of Talent Management will partner closely with business leaders to translate firm priorities into disciplined, high-impact talent processes across career stages. This role requires a strong balance of strategic insight and operational excellence, with a focus on delivering scalable, thoughtful solutions while upholding the rigor, discretion, and quality expected at Rockefeller Capital Management.
Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver leadership and talent development initiatives that support early career professionals, emerging leaders, and senior leaders
  • Establish clear development pathways that reinforce firm culture, leadership expectations, and performance standards
  • Execute core talent management practices, including performance management, career frameworks, and leadership readiness, in alignment with firm priorities and long-term growth objectives
  • Partner closely with senior leaders and business heads to identify priority skill areas, leadership capabilities, and talent risks across the organization
  • Ensure all development and learning initiatives are practical, experience-based, and directly connected to business outcomes
  • Own and evolve the firm's learning ecosystem, including digital learning platforms, content strategy, and external learning partnerships
  • Introduce and manage modern learning approaches such as experiential learning, coaching, peer learning, and curated external content
  • Ensure all talent and learning initiatives align with firm governance, compliance, and quality standards
  • Use data, feedback, and insights to continuously refine programs and inform leadership decision-making
  • Collaborate with Human Capital partners and external providers to deliver cohesive, scalable, and high-quality talent solutions
  • Balance strategic design with hands-on execution, ensuring initiatives are well-managed, sustainable, and delivered with rigor and discretion

Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience across talent management, leadership development, learning and development, or organizational effectiveness, within financial services
  • Demonstrated success designing and scaling enterprise-level talent and development programs
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to influence and partner effectively with senior leaders
  • Proven ability to translate strategy into thoughtful, actionable talent solutions
  • Experience leading teams and managing complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives

Compensation Range
The anticipated base salary range for this role is $200,000 to $225,000. Base salary for the role will depend on several factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience, and may fall outside of the range shown. In addition, this role may be eligible for a discretionary bonus.
