Job description

We are seeking a motivated, experienced, and hospitality-focused individual to join our team as an Operations Manager!

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the hotel to ensure a high level of guest satisfaction and operational excellence
• Lead, supervise, and support hotel team members across multiple departments
• Ensure all departments consistently follow company, brand, and operational standards
• Monitor guest satisfaction and promptly address guest concerns, complaints, and service recovery opportunities
• Assist with recruiting, interviewing, hiring, training, coaching, and developing team members
• Create and maintain employee schedules based on business needs and staffing requirements
• Monitor staffing levels, attendance, punctuality, and overall employee performance
• Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas to ensure cleanliness and maintenance standards are met
• Work closely with Housekeeping, Maintenance, Front Desk, and other departments to ensure smooth daily operations
• Monitor hotel occupancy, room availability, and operational needs
• Review daily reports, financial information, and departmental performance to identify opportunities for improvement
• Assist with controlling labor costs, operating expenses, and inventory
• Ensure proper cash handling, billing, purchasing, and financial procedures are followed
• Maintain compliance with Marriott brand standards, company policies, and applicable safety regulations
• Assist with emergency situations and ensure proper safety and security procedures are followed
• Communicate effectively with team members, management, guests, vendors, and other business partners
• Lead by example and consistently demonstrate professionalism, accountability, and exceptional customer service
• Participate in management meetings and provide updates regarding hotel operations, staffing, guest feedback, and departmental performance
• Help implement strategies to improve guest satisfaction, employee engagement, and overall hotel performance
• Maintain a professional appearance and consistent attendance
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by management

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; college degree in Hospitality, Business, or a related field preferred
• Previous hotel or hospitality management experience required
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience required
• Marriott or branded hotel experience preferred
• Strong understanding of hotel operations and guest service standards
