Job description

We are looking fora skilled and motivated Operations Managertomanagethe Streets Division, Sign Shop, and Vehicle and Equipment Service Center.


What You'll Do - "A Day in the Life Of"

  • Streets Division operations, including pavement and right-of-way maintenance, mowing, snow and ice control, and drainage system maintenance.
  • Sign Shop operations, including the printing, construction, placement, and maintenance of road signs throughout the City.
  • Vehicle and Equipment Service Center operations, ensuring City vehicles and equipment are properly maintained and ready for use.
  • Staff supervision, project coordination, process improvement, and response to operational needs throughout the City.

What We're Looking For:

  • A High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Graduation from a regionally accredited four-year institution of higher learning with a degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a closely related field.
    • Direct full-time job-related professional experience of six (6) or more years, may be substituted for the degree requirement.
  • Five (5) years of progressively responsible experience.
  • Three (3) years of supervisory experience in municipal public works management or closely related industry.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and be insurable under the City of Branson's motor vehicle coverage when operating a vehicle as a part of the position.
  • Possession ofa valid Class B CDL license or obtain within six (6) months of hire date.
    • A passing grade on the written portion of the Class A or B CDL exam is required before employment.
  • Be willing to work on the On-Call duty rotation, and emergency calls outside of normal work hours as scheduled. This will include evenings, weekends, and holidays assigned.
  • Be willing to work snow routes that include twelve (12) hour shifts during the months of November through March.
  • Successfully complete a background investigation, drug and alcohol screenings, and physical agility assessment.
Quaifications That Make You Competitive:
  • Experience developing written communications or technical documentation.
  • Municipal inspection/observation experience.

WORK HOURS: Monday through Friday, 8am to 4:30pm; On call after hours needed
WORK LOCATION:In and around the City of Branson, Missouri; This position requires work to be performed onsite.
