What to Expect as the Operations Manager
As the Operations Manager, you will provide leadership and oversight for agency operations, including Behavioral Health Services, Developmental Disabilities Services (DDD), Children and Family Services (DCF), Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), and Personal Care Assistance (PCA) programs.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Directing, coordinating, and supervising the daily operations of all agency service lines.
  • Providing leadership and supervision to management staff, supervisors, and program leaders.
  • Recruiting, hiring, developing, and retaining qualified personnel to maintain appropriate staffing levels.
  • Establishing, implementing, and evaluating operational goals and objectives to support agency growth and service excellence.
  • Ensuring policies and procedures are effectively implemented and continuously improved.
  • Monitoring organizational compliance with state regulations, accreditation standards, and agency requirements.
  • Maintaining oversight of client documentation and ensuring compliance with DMHAS and agency standards.
  • Conducting clinical assessments, treatment planning, case management, and counseling services as needed.
  • Leading quality improvement initiatives, treatment team meetings, staff training, and performance improvement activities.
  • Managing staff development programs, orientation, continuing education, and mandatory training requirements.
  • Developing and implementing marketing and growth strategies to expand agency services and community impact.
  • Assisting with funding development activities, contract negotiations, grant opportunities, and affiliation agreements.
  • Participating in community outreach events, health fairs, educational programs, and networking opportunities.
  • Preparing monthly operational reports and program evaluations for agency leadership.
  • Serving in an on-call leadership rotation to support operational needs.

What Matters Most
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
  • Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
  • Active clinical licensure preferred (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or equivalent).
  • Minimum of three (3) years of healthcare management and leadership experience.
  • Experience supervising multidisciplinary teams and managing multiple service programs.
  • Strong knowledge of behavioral health, developmental disabilities, community-based services, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to present information effectively to staff, stakeholders, and community partners.
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing teams.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across departments.
