• Conduct thorough initial assessments for new clients, identifying their mental health and substance abuse concerns and establishing a foundation for their therapy journey.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans using assessment findings, facilitating the client's progress toward their therapeutic goals.
• Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions that encourage open communication and develop coping strategies tailored to each client's unique experiences.
• Maintain meticulous clinical documentation that complies with ethical standards and legal requirements, ensuring accuracy in electronic health records (EHR).
• Actively participate in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings, collaborating with peers to create comprehensive care strategies for clients.
• Respond promptly to crises, providing immediate intervention and support to clients experiencing acute distress or emergencies.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to stay abreast of the latest trends, research, and best practices within mental health and substance abuse treatment domains.

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Central Valley Counseling Center, you will serve a diverse clientele facing a wide variety of mental health and substance abuse challenges. Your compassionate approach will assist individuals from various socioeconomic backgrounds, ages, and cultures, fostering a safe and welcoming environment for healing.

• A Master's degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or closely related field is required.
• Current licensure as a mental health counselor in the state of Florida.
• At least 2 years of experience in providing direct mental health and substance abuse treatment services.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills that facilitate effective engagement with clients and the treatment team.
• A demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, sharing insights and best practices to improve client outcomes.
• Strong organizational skills and time-management capabilities to balance client caseload and documentation requirements efficiently.

• Familiarity with electronic health record systems, enabling streamlined documentation and effective management of client data.
• Experience providing telehealth counseling services, adapting to the nuances of remote communication and therapy.
