Role Summary

The Network Manager leads the design, implementation, and ongoing operational support of the organizationโ€™s network infrastructure. This role oversees a team of network analysts, engineers, and architects, ensuring high levels of redundancy, availability, performance, and security across LAN, WAN, wireless, and cloudโ€‘connected environments. The Network Manager partners closely with IT leadership, security teams, and business stakeholders to align network strategy with enterprise objectives. All activities will be performed in support of the strategy, vision and values of JE Dunn.

Key Role Responsibilities - Core

NETWORK MANAGEMENT FAMILY โ€“ CORE

  • Oversees the design, deployment, support and ongoing maintenance of enterprise network infrastructure
  • Establishes and maintains network monitoring procedures and methods. Ensures procedures are followed in a consistent manner and variances are captured
  • Ensures network availability, performance, and compliance with security and operational standards
  • Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for high-impact incidents
  • Collaborates with network engineering team to ensure operational support of ongoing initiatives
  • Manages incident response, collaboration with other information technology functions, root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Collaborates with architects and senior leadership on network strategy, modernization and roadmap planning
  • Ensures network documentation and processes are updated and implemented effectively
  • Develops, manages and oversees key financial components (e.g., financial plans, budgets, forecasts) for assigned scope of responsibility to minimize risk and variance, and to maximize
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to Network Engineer team members
  • Evaluate and recommend network technologies, tools, and platforms
  • Support security, compliance, and business continuity initiatives
  • Provides feedback and coaching to support individual employee performance, learning and career development
  • Removes obstacles and solves problems and addresses escalated issues from team members to optimize team performance and productivity

  • Experience with Cisco Switching and Wireless, Fortinet firewalls, SolarWinds, Dynatrace, Cisco catalyst center(Preferred)
  • Proficiency in MS Office - Intermediate
  • Demonstrated knowledge of networking and telecommunications
  • Knowledge of core networking services, including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP
  • Understanding of routing and switching fundamentals (Preferred)

  • Ability to build relationships with teams members that transcend a project

Education
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (Required)

  • 8+ years of experience in network engineering or operations (Required)
  • 0-2 years of experience in a leadership or management role (Preferred)
  • May require periods of overnight travel
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
