Overview
Empire & Co. is seeking a Sales & Business Development Representative to join our growing Walls team in our Atlanta Office.
This role is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and project coordination support throughout the project lifecycle in a timely and accurate manner. Responsibilities include quote and order management, order tracking, installation coordination, project follow-up, and client communication.
The Sales & Business Development Representative will partner closely with sales, operations, vendors, and clients to support projects from initial order through installation and project completion while helping ensure projects are delivered accurately, efficiently, and with a high level of client satisfaction.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Project Coordination
  • Support the sales team throughout all phases of project execution
  • Acquire vendor discounts and verify pricing (CDA)
  • Assist with specification review and verification
  • Complete quote and order entry documentation
  • Complete required order header information (sales codes, taxes, ship-to information, carton/uncarton requirements)
  • Complete applicable order instructions and supporting documentation
  • Color code floor plans and organize counts
  • Request Certificates of Insurance (COI)
  • Manage and reserve COM and COL requirements
  • Manage COD processes and handle auto pricing
  • Assist with labor quote requests
  • Ensure proper approvals prior to quote conversion
  • Request proforma invoices when deposits are required
  • Ensure orders are properly released within Hedberg
Order & Project Follow-Up
  • Confirm receipt of purchase orders with vendors
  • Confirm vendor acknowledgements
  • Create and manage vendor requests for deposits
  • Lead resolution of acknowledgement discrepancies
  • Create and maintain order status reports throughout project execution
  • Coordinate timelines and communicate updates across teams
Pre-Installation
  • Create Operations requests (union/non-union; standard time/overtime)
  • Assist in preparing installation packages and project documentation
Installation & Closeout
  • Maintain punch list documentation and communicate updates to clients
  • Order punch list items and coordinate approvals where applicable
  • Create laser and RA tickets to support freight claims when necessary
  • Support installation completion and project closeout activities
Post Installation
  • Coordinate invoicing upon delivery and installation completion
  • Process day-two orders and follow-up items
  • Maintain ongoing client communication to support satisfaction and issue resolution
Additional Responsibilities
  • Input and maintain customer and vendor records
  • Request and coordinate warranty information
  • Prepare Product Mix Reports

Skills & Qualifications
  • High School Diploma plus 1-3 years of professional experience required
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
  • Prior experience in project coordination, commercial interiors, walls, architectural products, furniture dealership, construction, customer support, or related industries preferred
  • Furniture dealership and/or Walls experience is a plus but not required
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word); experience with Hedberg or similar ERP/order management systems preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and think proactively
  • Comfortable handling multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
