Job description

Be Part Of A High-Performing Team

Join a growing national organization delivering infrastructure, technology, energy, and commercial building solutions across a network of specialized operating companies. The organization combines local operating expertise with enterprise-wide technology and business transformation initiatives, creating an environment centered on collaboration, service, integrity, and sustainable growth. This corporate-level position will play an influential role in strengthening how data is governed, connected, and utilized across a complex multi-entity environment.

What's In Store For You

  • Fully remote opportunity with occasional travel for workshops, stakeholder meetings, or project support.
  • Senior individual contributor position with significant strategic and technical influence across technology, finance, operations, analytics, and integration teams.
  • Opportunity to establish enterprise-wide data architecture standards and shape the organization's long-term data strategy.
  • Exposure to major business and technology transformation initiatives spanning multiple operating companies and enterprise platforms.
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision benefits, along with retirement savings and paid time off programs.
  • Professional development through hands-on learning, mentorship, and advancement opportunities across a nationwide organization.

How You Will Make An Impact

  • Define and evolve the enterprise data architecture and long-term data strategy supporting a complex multi-company environment.
  • Establish scalable approaches for how enterprise data is modeled, governed, integrated, stored, and consumed across business systems.
  • Design and govern conceptual, logical, and physical data models, enterprise data flows, standards, and architectural patterns.
  • Create data governance frameworks covering data ownership, quality, metadata, master data, and enterprise standards.
  • Define reference architectures for data integration, cloud data platforms, data lakes and warehouses, semantic layers, and analytics environments.
  • Partner with analytics, integration, finance, operations, and business stakeholders to ensure trusted data supports operational reporting, financial reporting, and advanced analytics.
  • Provide architecture leadership for enterprise transformation initiatives involving system implementations, migrations, and modernization.
  • Assess current data environments, identify architectural gaps and technical debt, and create actionable future-state roadmaps.
  • Guide technology and vendor teams in selecting and implementing scalable data platforms, integration approaches, and supporting tools.
  • Establish sustainable architecture documentation, data dictionaries, standards, and reusable knowledge assets.
  • Expand the organization's ability to use self-service analytics and trusted enterprise data products.
  • Serve as a senior technical advisor for complex data architecture, governance, integration, and analytics challenges.

Do You Have the Expertise to Lead in Enterprise Data Architecture and Governance?

  • 8+ years of progressive experience across enterprise data architecture, data management, data engineering architecture, or closely related disciplines.
  • Demonstrated hands-on architecture and implementation experience, rather than experience limited to strategy or oversight.
  • Advanced understanding of conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling.
  • Strong enterprise data governance experience, including data quality, data ownership, metadata management, and master data management.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement enterprise data strategies supporting reporting, analytics, and operational business processes.
  • Experience designing modern data ecosystems involving data warehouses, data lakes, cloud data platforms, ETL/ELT pipelines, integration patterns, and semantic/reporting layers.
  • Experience navigating complex multi-system or multi-entity technology environments.
  • Strong understanding of integration architecture and enterprise applications such as ERP, project management, financial, or field-service platforms.
  • Ability to translate sophisticated data architecture concepts into clear recommendations for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive adoption of enterprise standards without direct supervisory authority.
  • Strong documentation, analytical thinking, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Ability to balance immediate business requirements with long-term architectural scalability and governance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Engineering, or a related discipline preferred; equivalent professional experience considered.
  • Experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP data architectures is preferred.
  • Exposure to Power BI, Tableau, or comparable analytics platforms is preferred.
  • Experience within construction, mechanical services, facilities management, or another multi-entity/project-based organization is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with platforms such as Sage Intacct, Procore, BuildOps, or comparable enterprise applications is highly valuable.
  • Relevant data architecture, data management, or cloud certifications are beneficial.
