Senior Manager, Data Operations Excellence

Johnson & Johnson is recruiting for a Senior Manager, Data Operations Excellence to support the Transcend program.

IM Transcend is a multi-year global business transformation initiative that will modernize our end-to-end Supply Chain digital capabilities by harmonizing our disparate ecosystem of 7+ major global ERP systems, standardizing our core business processes and products [across Plan, Source, Make, Deliver, Quality, and Data], and enabling our integrated data strategy through a single SAP S/4 HANA instance.

The Senior Manager will be a part of the Data Strategy and Operations organization as part of our Value Chain Management function. In this role, they will serve as the Global Data Operations Excellence for the IM Transcend Program, responsible for driving functional alignment on Master Data processes and value creation. They will be the strategic partner for business leadership within the MDM function and will advise MDM leaders on Transcend functional strategy. This role requires critical thinking, effective cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. They must be able to demonstrate a combination of critical thinking and deep operational understanding of MDM processes and ERP programs to achieve transformation goals of IM Transcend. They will partner with the Transcend Global Template Owner to ensure alignment of global template to business needs in alignment with clean core principles.

Key Responsibilities:

Design Support

  • Responsible for Value Identification and Value Capture for the Data organization
  • Drive standardization and harmonization of process design within the S4 template while ensuring the regional/local needs are effectively met
  • Identify standardization and automation opportunities
  • Ensure the Data capability roadmap needs are captured and changes considered
  • Design workshop preparation, support, and attendance
  • User Requirement generation, collection, and validation
  • Process Flow Mapping and Data Readiness activities (cleansing and validation efforts)

Test Script Approver and Release Coordinator

  • Approve the business simulation testing scope is appropriately testing the business processes and capabilities needed
  • Actively participate in Business Simulation and User Acceptance Testing
  • Coordinate schedule to communicate progress and timelines to Senior LT

MDM Deployment Liaison

  • Connect across the IMSC functions and E2E Transcend deployment lead to support successful launch of given release
  • Support site and region/country specific MDM changes for a given release

Business as usual

  • Create governance model for business as usual in steady state
  • Standardized roles and responsibilities for master data execution in TIME

Qualifications

Education:

  • A minimum of bachelor's degree is required; advanced degree or MBA is highly desirable
  • Certification in areas of expertise (e.g., PMP, APICS, Lean/Six Sigma /Process Excellence, etc.) is preferred

Experience and Skills:

Required:

  • At least 10 years of progressive experience in roles within Operations, Supply Chain, or large transformation programs.
  • Strong background / experience in MDM processes and systems
  • Business process design, engineering, or optimization experience
  • Ability to articulate complex project details clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing, to senior executives
  • Crafting compelling presentations that effectively convey key project information, including risks, timelines, and achievements
  • Ability to engage with diverse stakeholders, including senior executives, to handle expectations and address concerns
  • Consistent track record of cross-functional influencing and achieving organizational alignment through all levels
  • Experience in design and implementation of federated data governance

Preferred:

  • Experience in completing SAP ERP implementation cycles (e.g., Design, Build, Test, Deploy and Hypercare)
  • Experience with Data workflows tools (e.g. MDG)

This position will require up to 25% of domestic and international travel time

Additional Description for Pay Transparency: The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation's performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company's discretion on an individual basis.
