We are looking for an experienced Electrical Technician to assemble and maintain electrical
systems in in-house built test assets that operate 24 hours a day. The ideal candidate
has hands-on experience building wire harnesses, wiring equipment, and installing rack
mount shelves. While this role does not involve designing electrical systems, the
candidate must be able to read spreadsheets and electrical drawings to install
equipment, identify potential design issues, and diagnose faulty test equipment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

* Assemble, modify, and install HIL cabling, shelves, power supplies, and other test
rack equipment.
* Build wire harnesses using crimping tools and install HIL cabling.
* Install rack mount shelves, connect harnesses to equipment, and support engineers
in bringing up new HILs.
* Troubleshoot equipment failures and collaborate with engineers, providing tools and
debugging support as needed.
* Read and interpret electrical and electronic circuit blueprints and diagrams.
* Maintain and track HIL issues and status to ensure test equipment assets are fit
for use.
* Provide cross-divisional support to raise, root-cause, address, and document lab
equipment deficiencies.
* Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical components and cables of test
assets.
* Maintain HIL and Labcar inventory.
* Maintain HIL cabinet and equipment tool tracking, and keep the lab organized
through routine clean-up duties.
QUALIFICATIONS

* 2+ years of automotive or aerospace harness assembly design/build or related
experience.
* Experience operating hand and power tools, building harness cables, crimping/
stripping wires and terminals, soldering, and using fault-testing equipment.
* Hands-on experience and willingness to build rapid-prototype harnesses, including
procurement of components.
* Ability to interpret wiring diagrams and device transmittals.
* Ability to work onsite autonomously.
* Strong problem-solving and reporting skills.
* Experience packaging harnesses considering communication protocol circuits such as
CAN, LIN, Automotive Ethernet, video, and lighting signals is a plus.
* Able to lift 45 lbs.
* Valid driver's license with a clean record.
