Position Summary

The Porter is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, organization, and overall sanitation within a vitamin and protein bar production facility. This role supports daily operations by ensuring all production areas, equipment surroundings, and common spaces meet strict food safety and hygiene standards. The Porter plays a key role in creating a safe, clean, and efficient environment for production teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain cleanliness of production floors, break rooms, restrooms, and common areas
  • Sweep, mop, and sanitize work areas in compliance with food safety standards (GMPs)
  • Remove trash, recycling, and production waste in a timely and safe manner
  • Clean around machinery and equipment without disrupting production processes
  • Restock sanitation supplies such as soap, paper towels, and cleaning materials
  • Assist with minor facility upkeep and organization of storage areas
  • Support production and sanitation teams as needed
  • Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and proper use of PPE
  • Ensure compliance with food manufacturing cleanliness and hygiene regulations

Qualifications

  • Previous porter, janitorial, or warehouse cleaning experience preferred
  • Familiarity with food safety standards (GMPs) is a plus
