Providence Mental Therapy Session Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our remote care team. Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will undertake a variety of responsibilities aimed at fostering the emotional and mental development of clients.

  • Conduct individualized therapy sessions either remotely or at clients' homes, providing tailored treatment for behavioral, emotional, and social challenges.
  • Implement therapeutic techniques focusing on anger management, coping strategies, and social skills development.
  • Engage with both clients and their families to enhance decision-making abilities that address behavioral difficulties within the home.
  • Collaborate with a Child Family Treatment Team composed of professionals from various disciplines to ensure integrated care. This teamwork is fundamental to achieving therapeutic goals.
  • Maintain meticulous documentation of treatment plans, progress notes, and intake records, adhering to regulatory timelines.
  • Participate in monthly team meetings to discuss client progress and propose new strategies based on collective observations and insights.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with children and adolescents aged 3 to 20 who are grappling with a range of emotional and behavioral challenges, particularly those with developmental and intellectual disabilities. Your bilingual skills in Spanish or Portuguese will enable you to reach a broader community, ensuring that language barriers do not impede access to crucial mental health services.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, Social Work, or a related field is required.
  • An active and unrestricted LMFT license is mandatory for this role.
  • Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours, particularly from 4 PM to 7 PM, with weekend availability considered a plus.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience providing positive behavior support and therapeutic interventions.
  • Previous work with children aged 3-20, preferably with a focus on those with intellectual or developmental disabilities (I/DD).
  • A valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle for home visits.
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check, including fingerprinting.
Compensation and Benefits
