Midday Dog Walker – Palatine, Arlington Heights, and Mount Prospect
Company: Tailchasers
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 10:00 AM–3:00 PM
Pay: $18–$20 per hour, based on experience

Do you love dogs and enjoy being outdoors? Tailchasers is looking for a reliable, animal-loving Midday Dog Walker to join our team in Palatine and Arlington Heights

About the Role

As a Midday Dog Walker, you’ll provide weekday dog walks and potty breaks while pet parents are at work. This position is perfect for stay-at-home parents, college students with daytime availability, part-time workers, or retirees looking for rewarding, active work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Visit clients’ homes between 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM
  • Provide 30–60 minute walks, potty breaks, fresh water, and lots of affection
  • Follow each dog’s specific routine and any special instructions
  • Send brief updates and photos to pet parents after each visit
  • Communicate any concerns or unusual behavior to the Tailchasers office

You’re a Great Fit If You:
  • Live in or very near Palatine or Arlington Heights
  • Are available Monday–Friday from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM
  • Have a reliable car, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance
  • Are comfortable with dogs of all sizes and breeds
  • Are responsible, punctual, and detail-oriented
  • Can work independently and communicate clearly via smartphone
  • Can pass a background check
Preferred (Not Required):
  • Previous experience as a dog walker, pet sitter, vet tech, or in other animal care roles
  • Personal experience caring for your own pets

This position works well for:

Moms, servers, artists, Uber and Lyft drivers, bus drivers, retail workers, dog trainers, students, musicians, delivery drivers, tutors, and retirees

Here is what we ask you to do:

You will be responsible for walking, feeding, watering, and keeping dogs safe and secure.
Have the ability to communicate via smart phone using our company app.
Walk your regularly scheduled doggie friends on your route Monday through Friday from 10am until 3pm.

Some basic job requirements:

  • US citizen or legally authorized to work in the US
  • Over 21 years of age
  • Able to pass a background check
  • Local full-time resident of our service area
  • Comfortable handling both large and small dogs
  • Comfortable walking outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Able to lift 50 lbs without assistance
  • Able to commit to this position for 12 months from date of hire
  • Available all weekdays from 10am to 3pm
  • Possess your own reliable transportation
