Job description

At Zap Pest Control our Pest Control Technicians are responsible for providing pest remediation and prevention solutions to residential and commercial property owners in PA, NJ and DE. Our technicians are expected to maintain a high standard of professionalism and customer service. Previous experience is not required, a senior technician will provide on the job training to new employees.

Job duties include:

  • Conducting thorough interior and exterior inspections to locate pests
  • Offering sound advice on both chemical and natural pest control remediation options
  • Providing estimates for one-time treatments and continual maintenance
  • Setting traps for rodents
  • Spraying perimeters of homes and structures for termites, ants and other insects
  • Safe and efficient removal of wasp, hornet and bees nests
  • Recommending products and services for effective pest control

Skills and Qualifications:

  • A clear understanding of the safety protocols for pest control, including wearing properly-fitted respirators when working with chemicals and donning protective clothing and gloves
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills when speaking with customers and advising on treatment methods
