POSITION SUMMARY:We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Asphalt Quality Control (QC) Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for testing and inspecting asphalt materials to ensure compliance with project specifications, DOT requirements, and industry standards. You will play a critical role in maintaining quality, consistency, and performance across all paving operations.

JOB DUTIES & REQUIREMENTS:- Perform field and laboratory testing of asphalt materials (density, gradation, asphalt content, etc.).
- Collect and prepare material samples for testing and analysis.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of test results and daily reports.
- Communicate test results and findings with project managers, foremen, and paving crews.
- Ensure compliance with DOT and project-specific quality standards.
- Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot testing equipment.
- Assist with mix design verification and quality troubleshooting as needed.
- Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Participate in daily safety meetings and weekly toolbox talks.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE:- Familiarity with AASHTO, ASTM, and DOT testing procedures.
- Understanding of asphalt materials, paving processes, and quality control practices.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

QUALIFICATIONS:- High school diploma or GED required.
- 1+ year of experience in asphalt testing or construction quality control preferred.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, outdoor environment.
Certifications (Preferred but not required):
- ACI, TTCP, or DOT QC/QA certifications

PHYSICAL ACTIVITY:- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods.
- Must be able to wear required PPE such as hard hats, safety glasses, gloves, and boots.
Travel within Oklahoma and North Texas may be required.
