OVERVIEW

PSD is seeking a Executive Protection Agent a highly professional, discreet, and dependable agent to join our protection team on a part-time or on-call basis. The agent will ensure the safety, security, and privacy of a high-profile client and family by performing both armed and unarmed executive-protection assignments with exceptional judgment, integrity, and discretion.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

Provide armed and/or unarmed close protection during domestic and international assignments.

Lead counter-surveillance and protective-advance operations.

Conduct advance planning, site surveys, and threat/vulnerability assessments.

Transport clients and/or family members safely using defensive and evasive driving techniques when required.

Maintain a low-profile yet assertive protective posture consistent with the clientโ€™s lifestyle.

Respond to emergencies and perform medical assistance as needed.

Balance client requests with operational safety requirements and risk management protocols.

Support & Communication

Professionally de-escalate tense situations or individuals at the clientโ€™s residence, workplace, or events.

Maintain clear communication with team members, client representatives, and operations management.

Accurately complete required documentation including incident reports, shift logs, route plans, and medical reports.

Ensure all vehicles and equipment are operational, clean, and mission-ready before each shift.

Promptly identify and report any equipment or operational deficiencies.

Reporting

Communicate vulnerabilities or safety concerns in a timely manner.

Complete suspicious activity reports, incident reports. shift logs, pattern of life reports, medical treatment reports, and other administrative requirements.

Assist in scheduling protection shifts and coordinating team assignments.

Maintain operational logs and administrative records in compliance with company policy and confidentiality standards.

Promptly identify and report any equipment or operational deficiencies.

DRIVING RESPOSIBLITIES

Serve as primary driver or follow-car driver as assigned.

Operate vehicles safely and comfortably while identifying and mitigating potential threats along routes.

Prepare primary and alternate routes in advance; ensure vehicles are clean, fueled, and ready for deployment.

QUALIFICATIONS

Prior law enforcement and/or military experience highly desired.

Completion of a recognized Executive Protection training program or four-year degree preferred.

Valid California BSIS Guard Card (required).

Valid California BSIS Exposed Firearm Permit (required).

Valid California Concealed Weapons Permit (CCW) (preferred).

Demonstrated firearms proficiency and strict adherence to safe-handling protocols.

Medical certification (First Responder, EMT, 18D, Paramedic, Navy Corpsman) strongly preferred.

Valid driverโ€™s license with a clean driving record.

Reliable means of communication (email and cell phone).

Ability to speak, read, and write English fluently.

International or multi-client experience highly valued.

Working Conditions & Requirements

Must pass background, reference, drug, and behavioral screenings in compliance with California Labor Code ยง432.7 and the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA).

Maintain professional demeanor under stress and in emergency situations.

Handle confidential information with discretion and integrity.

Capable of rapid decision-making and problem solving under pressure.

Exposure to sensitive and confidential information.

Regular use of computers and communication equipment.

Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently.

Occasional lifting and physical activity required for protective response.

Close and distance vision and ability to adjust focus.

Frequent sitting, standing and/or walking, which may be required for long periods of time, and may involve climbing stairs and walking up inclines and on uneven terrain.

Domestic and/or international travel.

24/7 availability to the client.

$40 - $50 /hr
