What is prosthetics engineering?

Prosthetics engineering is a specialized field that focuses on the design, development, and manufacturing of artificial limbs and devices to replace or support the function of missing body parts. Prosthetics engineers work closely with medical professionals and patients to create custom solutions that restore mobility, comfort, and functionality. They use advanced materials, computer-aided design, and innovative technologies to improve the quality and performance of prosthetic devices, enhancing the lives of individuals with limb loss or limb differences.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Prosthetics Engineer, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Prosthetics Engineer, you need a strong background in biomedical engineering, materials science, and anatomy, typically supported by a relevant engineering degree.
