We are looking to hire an experienced Mechanical Engineer at our Decatur, AL location.
Applicants must pass a pre-employment physical exam and drug screen and have a valid driver's license.
Classification and base pay rate will be dependent upon skillset and prior experience.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Supports standard design, development, testing and modifications of solutions.
  • Conducts testing of new designs.
  • Build prototype bearings for testing. Includes installation and use of multiple sensors and associated data acquisition equipment.
  • May support recommending standard new designs, new processes, or design changes to meet requirements.
  • Prepare detail 3D engineering models and 2D CAD drawings. Creates bills of materials.

Education/Experience/Skills/Knowledge
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related degree
  • 2 to 5 years of related experience
  • Detailed knowledge of engineering principles, calculation methods, metals related equipment design, equipment selection and function.
  • Knowledge of computer systems associated with discipline including 3D Solid Edge and 2DAutoCad. Experience with data acquisition systems a plus.
  • Knowledge of Metals related equipment, design and equipment selection and function.
  • Ability to lead others and work with all groups within and outside the organization.

Duties are performed both in-house and on location at customer sites.
Physical Requirements
  • Work performed at ground level and at heights.
  • Frequent: walking, standing, reaching, grasping, pushing, pulling, lifting and carrying up to 20 lbs.
  • Occasional: climbing, kneeling, crouching, lifting and carrying up to 30-50 lbs.
