Job description

Description:

JE Technology Solutions designs and manufactures specialized solutions supporting aerospace, defense, aviation maintenance, and heavy industrial operations. We are seeking a driven and highly motivated Marketing Prospect Intern to support lead generation, market intelligence, and outbound business development efforts.

Reporting directly to the Marketing Manager, this role provides hands-on exposure to industrial marketing, B2B prospecting, sales pipeline development, and strategic market research. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and energized by engaging with potential customers and uncovering new business opportunities.

This is not a traditional โ€œcreative-onlyโ€ marketing internship. This role is focused heavily on outbound prospecting, CRM management, social selling, and pipeline support within highly technical industries.

Essential Responsibilities

Pipeline Development & Prospecting:

Execute outbound email, phone, and LinkedIn outreach campaigns targeting aerospace, defense, industrial, and manufacturing organizations.

Research and identify potential customers, suppliers, and strategic business opportunities.

Support appointment-setting efforts for leadership and sales teams by scheduling discovery meetings and introductory calls.

Assist in developing targeted prospect lists based on industry sectors, capabilities, and market trends.

Track outreach activity, responses, and pipeline progress within CRM systems.

Social Selling & Market Intelligence:

Utilize LinkedIn Sales Navigator and other research tools to identify and engage prospective contacts.

Monitor competitor activity, market trends, customer announcements, and industry developments.

Research government contract opportunities, industry events, and emerging market sectors.

Assist with gathering shop-floor photos, videos, and operational content to support marketing initiatives.

Provide weekly summaries of market intelligence, competitor insights, and prospect activity.

CRM & Administrative Support:

Maintain accurate and organized customer and prospect records within HubSpot, Salesforce, or related CRM systems.

Ensure proper tracking of outreach campaigns, follow-ups, and engagement metrics.

Support trade show preparation and pre-event outreach initiatives.

Assist with calendar coordination, meeting scheduling, and follow-up communications.

Help maintain marketing databases, contact lists, and reporting dashboards.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Work closely with Marketing, Sales, Engineering, and Operations teams to better understand company capabilities and target markets.

Support marketing initiatives that align with business growth objectives and customer acquisition goals.

Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas to improve outreach effectiveness and market visibility.

Requirements:

High school diploma or GED required.

Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Engineering, or related field preferred.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Comfortable engaging professionally with business leaders and decision-makers.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
