Job Summary: Drive sustainable financial growth within a geographic territory by securing profitable new business.
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Manage and execute an annual business plan to drive success; including analyze assigned territory, monthly updates, develop and execute a strategic plan to increase net revenue to meet all goals
  • Target and secure profitable new business by identifying prospective accounts, creating in-depth prospect files, building relationships, preparing and presenting proposals and bids
  • Drive sales through pre-call planning, post-call analysis and consistent follow up
  • Maintain a high close rate by effectively managing the Sales Cycle
  • Collaboratively develop processes to identify competitive tactics and how to overcome them and develop proactive approaches to competition
  • Safeguard total compliance with all company policies and government regulations
  • Complete all administrative tasks thoroughly and promptly
  • Participate in trade shows and events as needed
  • Track customer needs and volume potential; track market trends, create, and implement sales strategies
  • Communicate key opportunities, issues and information on accounts with management and sales team members
  • Assist in development and delivery of responses to RFPs, RFls and bid proposals for key accounts.

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • 3 years Laboratory/Health care experience preferred
  • Demonstrated selling, planning and leadership skills and business acumen are required
  • Self-motivated, with high energy level and a drive for results
  • Proven interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Strong relationship management and negotiation skills
  • Learning agility to adapt to new products, markets, and develop innovative approaches
  • Out of state travel required
  • Toxicology lab sales preferred

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Ability to interface effectively with all levels in the organization, and excel in a team-oriented environment
  • Proficient with Microsoft applications, including Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint, and with customer relationship data bases (Salesforce a plus)
  • Effective sales closing and outstanding customer service skills
  • Possess a solid background in market, sales and account development, including client qualification, acquisition, and creating and implementing successful business strategies that drive market and sales growth
