Proposal Manager
Job Description
Drive end-to-end RFP (request for proposal) execution by leading cross-functional teams, developing compliant and compelling content, and leveraging tools and best practices to deliver high-quality, on-time proposals that strengthen competitive positioning and win outcomes.
Your role:
  • Lead end-to-end proposal development for RFPs (request for proposals), managing timelines, integrating win themes, and ensuring compliance with submission requirements, branding standards, and quality expectations.
  • Partner with sales, marketing, pricing, and SMEs (subject matter experts) to lead cross-functional proposal teams and advise sales leadership on bid strategy and proposal approach.
  • Oversee content development to ensure alignment with evaluation criteria, while editing and proofreading for accuracy, consistency, and clear, persuasive messaging.
  • Utilize tools such as Responsive, Salesforce CRM (customer relationship management), and AI (artificial intelligence) solutions to track opportunities, manage content, and monitor proposal progress to ensure timely completion.
  • Drive continuous improvement by maintaining templates and content libraries, conducting post-proposal debriefs, and capturing lessons learned to enhance future submissions.

You're the right fit if:
  • You've acquired 3+ years of experience in proposal management including responding to RFPs (request for proposals).
  • Your skills include 3+ years of experience developing proposals and project management.
  • You have at least a bachelor's degree (Marketing or English preferred).
  • You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position.
  • You thrive in environments requiring conflict resolution and effective stakeholder engagement.

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company's facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company's main facilities, generally at the customers' or suppliers' locations.

Philips Transparency Details
The pay range for this position in Tennessee is $89,000 to $141,000 annually.
The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.
In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered. Employees are eligible to participate in our comprehensive Philips Total Rewards benefits program, which includes a generous PTO, 401k (up to 7% match), HSA (with company contribution), stock purchase plan, education reimbursement and much more.
