This individual will be responsible for directing a firm's property tax practice, managing high-level client portfolios, and driving business development. They will oversee property assessments, negotiate with local tax authorities, lead tax appeals, and ensure compliance with complex state and local regulations.

What Work You Will be Responsible For:
  • Client & Portfolio Management: Advise high-net-worth individuals, real estate funds, and corporate entities on strategies to optimize real estate portfolios and minimize tax liabilities.
  • Appeals & Negotiations: Represent clients in challenging property valuations, filing appeals, and negotiating settlements directly with municipal and county assessors.
  • Business Development: Cultivate new client relationships, expand service offerings for existing accounts, and meet firm-wide revenue and sales targets.
  • Team Leadership: Creating, building and managing a property tax practice based on your vision and experience, including property tax compliance and consulting. Mentor junior staff, manage engagement economics (budgets, billing), and direct the workflow of the property tax team.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or other related business field.
  • 10 + years of progressive experience in the areas of corporate property tax, real estate tax compliance and local tax legislation.
  • 7 + years of supervisory experience

Preferred/Desired Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Accounting or equivalent field
  • CPA or other applicable license
