Customer Service & Inside Sales Representative:

Our client is seeking a Customer Service & Inside Sales Representative who is eager to build a long-term career with an established manufacturing organization. This role begins by supporting customers through order management, quoting, and day-to-day service while providing a clear path into an outside sales position. The ideal candidate is personable, relationship-driven, and motivated to develop the technical expertise needed to become a trusted advisor for customers across a specialized product portfolio.

This role is onsite in Beaverton, Oregon.

Customer Service & Inside Sales Representative Responsibilities:

  • Process, update, and manage customer orders while ensuring accuracy and timely communication throughout the order lifecycle.
  • Respond to customer inquiries via phone and email regarding quotes, orders, product information, shipping timelines, and general support.
  • Prepare customer quotations and pricing responses using established tools, resources, and internal processes.
  • Build strong relationships with customers by delivering responsive, professional service and developing a thorough understanding of their needs.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to coordinate order fulfillment and communicate delivery expectations.
  • Maintain accurate customer records, pricing information, part details, and order documentation.
  • Identify unique customer requirements, ask thoughtful questions, and escalate non-standard requests when appropriate.
  • Learn the company's technical products and solutions to support a future transition into a consultative outside sales role.
  • Represent the organization professionally while fostering long-term customer partnerships.
  • Support the broader customer service team and contribute to departmental success as needed.
  • Travel periodically throughout the United States, Canada, and Costa Rica as responsibilities expand into customer-facing sales activities.

Customer Service & Inside Sales Representative Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in customer service, inside sales, account support, order management, or a similar customer-facing role.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport and establish lasting customer relationships.
  • Outgoing, approachable, and professional demeanor with a genuine passion for helping customers.
  • Interest in developing into a consultative outside sales professional over time.
  • Ability to learn complex technical products and communicate solution-based recommendations rather than transactional sales.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and sound judgment when handling customer requests.
  • Experience responding to customer inquiries by phone and email.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel, along with experience using order entry or customer management systems.
  • Experience preparing quotes, processing purchase orders, or supporting manufacturing or industrial customers is preferred.
  • Manufacturing, industrial, or technical product experience is helpful but not required.
  • Willingness and ability to travel periodically within the United States, Canada, and Costa Rica as the role progresses.
