Job description

Law Office of Kandell, Kandell & Petrie, PA is currently seeking a legal secretary to join our busy property insurance practice.


RESPONSIBILITIES would include:

  • Coordinating and scheduling client appointments such as inspections, depositions and hearings.
  • Interviewing clients about their property damage claims.
  • Carefully reviewing and keeping track of cases and managing deadlines.
  • Answering client calls for status updates.
  • Enter data in case management system.
  • E-filing pleadings and propounding discovery.
  • Drafting and filing documents in conjunction with attorney oversight.


Desired Skills:

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage deadlines and prioritize tasks;
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written);
  • Ability to work under stress and meet deadlines;
  • Experience: · 1+ year of experience (preferred but not required)
  • Experience with Florida E-filing Portal and pleading drafting
  • Proficiency with MS Word and Mac
  • Ability to work independently
