The Quality Inspector positions maintain quality standards by approving in-process production, finished products, and incoming materials and recording quality results.
The Quality Inspector will work to STC's Quality principles:
  • Right the First Time in everything we do and produce.
  • Agree what can be delivered in what timeframe and develop a plan on how delivery can be met.
  • Work co-operatively with all departments and parties to exceed customer expectations.
  • Always develop and execute a quality plan.

Essential Functions:
  • Proactively supports a culture of safety and quality as top organizational priorities.
  • Actively participates in ongoing training initiatives and collaborates with team members and leadership to share information in a structured process.
  • Approves in-process production by confirming requirements and documented information; conducting visual and measurement tests; communicating results to production personnel, as required.
  • Approves finished products by confirming requirements and documented information; conducting visual and measurement tests; confirming non-compliant product is processed, re-processed, and/or reworked, if necessary, to ensure compliance with requirements.
  • Approves incoming materials by confirming requirements and documented information; conducting visual and measurement tests; rejecting non-conforming materials and facilitating the return of that product with the appropriate documentation for the External Provider.
  • Documents inspection results by completing appropriate documented information (e.g. inspection reports, logs, data, etc); inputs data into manufacturing and quality locations, as required.
  • Ensures integrity and calibration of measurement equipment by following operating instructions and Quality Management System (QMS) documentation; notifying appropriate personnel when calibration concerns arise.
  • Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures, complying with all regulations.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications, etc.
  • Supports and executes Quality Policy, Quality Objectives, and the organization's mission.

Required Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years of production experience, preferably in a Quality or supervisory role
  • Technical Degree in with Quality focus or equivalent work experience
  • Strong, clear, and effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with the operation of production and test equipment
  • Strong organization skills and the ability to work under pressure

Total Rewards:
The compensation range for this position is $ 37,500 - $ 56,300, depending on experience. This position may be eligible for performance-based bonus plan.
