Job description

Kauaʻi Precision Cleaning LLC is seeking dependable Cleaning Technicians to deliver consistent, high-quality cleaning services at client locations throughout Kauaʻi.

Position Summary

The Cleaning Technician is responsible for providing detailed, efficient, and high-quality cleaning services at commercial and managed properties, including vacation rentals, resort condominiums, residential homes, and educational campuses.

Daily work schedules are assigned in advance and may include multiple properties in different areas of the island. Employees must have reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and be able to commute between job sites throughout the workday.

Team members are expected to consistently meet scheduled timeframes while maintaining exceptional attention to detail, a professional appearance, and clear written and verbal communication. Employees must accurately document property conditions, report maintenance and safety concerns, and communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and property managers.

All employees must follow established company procedures and uphold the high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and customer service that Kauaʻi Precision Cleaning is known for.

This is an onsite position, no remote positions available. We serve all of Kauaʻi island.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and sanitize assigned areas according to company checklists and quality standards

  • Perform tasks such as dusting, vacuuming, mopping, restroom sanitation, kitchen cleaning, and surface disinfection

  • Prepare vacation rental units for guest arrivals, including staging and presentation standards

  • Complete detailed inspections to ensure units meet company quality expectations

  • Report maintenance concerns, damages, missing items, or supply shortages promptly

  • Complete assigned cleaning services, submit completion photos, and provide task updates within scheduled service timeframes.

  • Maintain organization and cleanliness of company supplies, tools, equipment, and vehicles

  • Communicate clearly with supervisors regarding progress, scheduling concerns, and property conditions

  • Follow all company safety procedures and proper handling requirements for cleaning products and equipment

Required Qualifications
  • Ability to balance efficiency with exceptional attention to detail while consistently meeting company quality standards and scheduled service windows.

  • Must be capable of performing the essential physical duties of the position, including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching, climbing stairs, and performing repetitive cleaning tasks throughout the workday.

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds and push or pull carts, equipment, and supplies weighing up to 100 pounds.

  • Ability to use a smartphone to receive schedules, communicate with supervisors, complete checklists, and submit photos and reports.

  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, dependable attendance, and the ability to travel between multiple assigned worksites throughout the workday.

  • Ability to work professionally and respectfully in occupied homes, vacation rentals, resort properties, educational facilities, and commercial environments.

  • Basic knowledge of cleaning methods and a willingness to learn Kauaʻi Precision Cleaning's cleaning systems, sanitation procedures, and equipment.

  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, detailed cleaning checklists, standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety requirements, and company policies.

  • Ability to accurately document property conditions and communicate maintenance concerns, damages, missing items, and safety hazards through written reports, photographs, and direct communication with supervisors.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in hospitality, vacation rental, hotel, janitorial, residential, or commercial cleaning

  • Experience following cleaning checklists and quality inspection procedures

  • Familiarity with cleaning equipment and professional cleaning products

  • Strong time-management and organizational skills

  • Ability to adapt to changing schedules and daily priorities

Additional Requirements
  • Weekend and holiday availability may be required

  • Background screening may be required for certain assignments, including educational facilities

  • Must demonstrate professionalism, honesty, and respect for client property and belongings

Compensation

Hourly Rate: $18.00 – $22.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
