Job description

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate, analyze and adjust claims according to policies. 
  • Examine property claim forms and other records to determine insurance coverage.
  • Analyze and verify insurance claims for accuracy, completeness, and eligibility.
  • Investigate and assess damage to property and auto.
  • Analyze information gathered by investigation and report findings and recommendations.
  • Prepare report of findings of investigation accordingly.
  • Negotiates and transacts auto physical damage severity claims with policyholders and claimants.
  • Prepare the necessary documentation to process the payment and / or close the claim without payment.
  • Documents steps taken to request extensions of terms to the Office of the Insurance Commissioner


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university, or a combination of equivalent education and experience as an insurance adjuster.
  • Must have a valid Insurance Adjuster License issued by the Puerto Rico Insurance Commissioner. 
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Multitasking person with accuracy.
  • Decision making and problem-solving skills.
  • Bilingual (Spanish and English). 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, service and conflict resolution.
