What You'll Do

  • Own property claims from first notice of loss through resolution
  • Conduct on-site inspections to assess damage and determine coverage
  • Develop estimates using Cotality
  • Guide policyholders through the claims process with clear communication
  • Partner with agents and internal teams to deliver strong outcomes
  • Participation in catastrophe duty as needed. CAT duty can be throughout the United States and can last up to 4 weeks.

 

What You Bring

  • Property claims handling experience
  • Estimating platform experience (Xactimate, Cotality, Symbility, etc.)
  • Experience with property inspections and damage assessment
  • Knowledge of dwelling/mobile home construction
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
  • Ability to work in the field, including climbing ladders (40+ lbs)
  • Applicants requiring employer sponsorship of a visa will not be considered for this position.

 

Location & Travel

Candidates must be located in or near Delaware or Eastern Maryland area and must have flexibility to complete CAT deployment as needed

The base salary range anticipated for this position is $60,000 - $90,000, plus opportunity for company bonus based upon a percentage of eligible pay.  In addition, the company makes available a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, 401k match, retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO). 

The salary estimate is adjusted to reflect the varying market conditions across different locations, with the with the higher end being more aligned with the Delaware and Maryland job market. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary include your specific skills, how many years of experience you have and comparison to other employees already in this role. Most candidates will start in the bottom half of the range.
