Propane Dispatcher

Job Type: Full-Time, Year-Round (Seasonal Schedule)


Work Schedule:

September through May: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. (40 hours/week) 

June through August: Approximately 12 hours per week with a flexible schedule 


Pay Range: $40,000-$50,000 annually, based on qualifications and experience

Location: 630 Proctor Ave NW, Elk River, MN 55330


POSITION SUMMARY

 Beaudry Oil & Propane is seeking an organized and dependable Propane Dispatcher to coordinate propane deliveries, support daily operations, and provide exceptional customer service. This year-round position offers a unique seasonal schedule with full-time hours September through May and reduced, flexible hours during the summer. 


Requirements

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate, schedule, and dispatch propane deliveries (automatic and will-call) to meet customer needs
  • Monitor truck locations and optimize delivery routes using GPS systems
  • Track driver hours and ensure compliance with applicable regulations
  • Handle customer calls, assess service needs, and provide timely support
  • Request and verify purchase order (PO) information as needed
  • Coordinate with internal departments to support delivery operations
  • Support the Division Manager with daily operational tasks
  • Follow and enforce company safety policies and regulatory requirements
  • Participate in the on-call rotation as required
  • Assist with inventory monitoring, transport dispatching, and data entry
  • Perform general clerical duties and other duties as assigned


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous dispatching experience preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to work flexible hours as needed
