Job Summary
Cleveland Petroleum is seeking an Accounts Receivable (AR) Clerk responsible for processing customer payments, maintaining accurate customer account records, and assisting with the management of outstanding balances. This role works closely with customers and internal teams to ensure timely payment of invoices and resolution of account discrepancies. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and committed to providing excellent customer service.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Working closely with the Accounting Coordinator to complete all allocated tasks
• Maintain bookkeeping databases and spreadsheets, updating information as needed
• Monitor customer accounts and follow up on outstanding balances
• Process and accurately apply customer payments and maintain payment records
• Assist with billing inquiries and resolving account discrepancies
• Update customer accounts and maintain accurate customer records
• Communicate with customers regarding account balances and payment status
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Education & Skills

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience required
• Previous experience in accounts receivable, collections, bookkeeping, administrative support, or customer service preferred
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook and Excel
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality of financial information
