Superior Service Transport (SST) is a family-owned regional transportation company headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah. We proudly serve customers throughout Utah as well as Northern and Central Nevada. As a Mechanic, you’ll play a key role in maintaining our equipment throughout its full lifecycle—from routine preventative maintenance to complex engine diagnostics. In this role, you’ll work on a diverse fleet that includes tractors, trailers, converter dollies, and forklifts, performing thorough safety inspections, diagnostics, and both minor and major repairs involving cooling, fuel, electrical, braking, and drivetrain systems. You’ll also maintain accurate service records to support compliance and operational efficiency while contributing to a safety-first culture by keeping a clean shop, identifying potential hazards, and collaborating with an experienced team to troubleshoot repairs and share technical knowledge.

Qualifications & Requirements:

·         Prior experience diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy-duty diesel trucks and trailers preferred

·         Strong working knowledge of engine, exhaust, chassis, and body systems

·         Ability to perform welding and minor metal fabrication as needed

·         DOT certification for Air Brake Repairs & Inspections and/or DOT Annual Inspector certification preferred

·         Experience working with propane lift trucks (forklifts) is a plus
