ROLE SUMMARY

The Propagation Supervisor coordinates the daily activities related to propagation including assisting in maintaining a strict production schedule and oversight of the mothers and clones in our cultivation facility. As a supervisor you will provide necessary support and day-to-day implementation of responsibilities. The Propagation Supervisor efficiently and effectively cares and propagates the plants to ensure they are at optimum health to provide high quality products to our patients.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Determine the proper techniques, timings, required pre-treatments, appropriate growing media, container usage, and/or any other specialized requirements in preparation for propagation takes place in a timely and coordinated manner.

Conduct daily care and maintenance of plants from seed to their vegetative stage.

Follow protocols related to application of the appropriate irrigation, feeding, pruning, sanitation, and pest control.

Ensure proper spacing, air flow, and light exposure is monitored and adjusted as needed to be effective in maintaining plants for optimal health.

Maintain the highest levels of cleanliness and sterility inside the production area and facility at all times, including routine cleaning and sterilization of equipment and infrastructure.

Monitor and Report pest and disease to Cultivation Manager and Director of Operations.

Use, maintain, and operate role related equipment in the facility.

Ensure completion of administrative duties such as scheduling, correspondence and documentation.

Contribute to creating and maintaining a positive work environment.

Working cooperatively with the Cultivation Manager and other team members.

Learn and follow protocols for plant environmental systems.

Take instruction and assist with tasks delegated by the management team.

Ensure the daily compliance policies are followed, but not limited to compliance with the state, security protocols, access protocols and dress code.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

Relevant experience, training or education, such as professional experience in a nursery setting or other related work.

3 years of Agriculture experience

Must have knowledge of cultivation processes

Ability to work both in a team and independently

Accuracy and consistency are a must

Able to work in environment with varying temperatures

SKILLS/INTERESTS

Must be a multitasker, with the ability to work on several requests simultaneously without losing focus

Organization and initiative, good communications skills, proactive, problem-solving, time management, discretion and confidentiality are essential attributes

Excellent critical thinking and analytical skills

Must have entrepreneurial skills and experience

Must possess an inquisitive and creative mind

Ability to build good relationships. There will be frequent contact with internal and external people, either face to face or by telephone or email

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position operates in cultivation and manufacturing environments. This role routinely uses cultivation processing equipment and standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to speak and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand for extended periods; walk; use hands to handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms. {Must be able to individually lift up to 25 lbs}. Regular and predictable attendance is essential.

POSITION TYPE / EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

Typical work hours are 6:30am - 5pm Monday - Friday

This position regularly requires long hours, frequent weekend work and flexible hours as needed.

REQUIRED EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma or G.E.D equivalent is required

PREFERRED EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

3 + years of experience in a nursery setting or other related work.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Per state law, must be at least 21 years of age.

Must successfully complete a comprehensive background check.

Must pass drug screen.

Must have reliable transportation.
