Job description

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position supervises and manages a team within the Production/Propogation Department.

Position Summary

The Propagation Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire life cycle of plant cultivation and ensuring that all production targets are met efficiently and sustainably.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure all orders for weekly Propagation are completed, on time, and at company quality expectations according to Production schedules.
  • Lead, train, and mentor production staff, fostering a culture of teamwork and continuous learning.
  • Communicate daily operations with the Growing, and Task teams on items being produced.
  • Prepare, communicate, and explain work plans for teams when working past normal shift hours (evenings/weekends). This includes but is not limited to: material gathering and verification, planning and obtaining proper labor needs, ensuring sufficient leadership is present for said work plans.
  • Monitor and report on production metrics, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
  • Follow all company established processes and protocols as it relates to workmanship, training, maintenance of area and equipment, executing plant-specific protocols.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 3+ years' experience directly leading others.
  • Ability to meet strict timelines.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Basic computer-based skills (ERP, Excel, Outlook, Teams, Word).
  • Effective communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Excellent organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience working in a Production environment.
Job Setting & Physical Demands

This position is primarily outdoors but may be required to work between locations and within an indoor office environment for administrative duties, which may require the use of computers and standard office equipment. Fluency to read, write, and understand the English language is required. Must be able to work in all outdoor elements, including dust and allergens. Position requires long-term ability for walking, standing, sitting, squatting, bending, reaching, and twisting on a regular basis to fulfill essential duties. The candidate must have the ability to operate all machinery necessary within the department. Employees must have the ability to lift 50 pounds unaided and lift up to 100 pounds with assistance.
