Job description

What You Can Expect In This Role
Responsible for recruiting, training and onboarding new Investment Advisor Representatives and Insurance licensed producers within assigned region. Position product, company benefits and value prop through phone calls and face-to-face meetings.
What You'll Do In This Role
• Work within assigned region to achieve assigned annuity sales goals.
• Identify and build relationships with prospects in region through face-to-face meetings, regional industry events, phone calls, webinars and other forms of communication in order to appoint new producers within assigned region.
• Onboard new producers by promoting company products, services, and benefits. Create and provide business plans/goals and train new agents/producers.
• Facilitate recruiting campaigns to prospective agents in order to assist company in achieving recruiting and production goals.
• Partner with External and Internal wholesaler in region to best achieve recruiting and sales goals.
• Attend, facilitate agent training, and promote company and products at various industry conferences as necessary.
• Demonstrate strong ability to articulate the Company's strategy by presenting a compelling story about company strength, culture, values, products and services.
• Deliver presentations educating producers and distribution partners on company, product, and services in order to recruit quality agents to the company.
• Assist with developing and implementing training programs for new products, point of sale work, services and programs offered by the company.
• Collaborate with management in the implementation of outbound phone campaigns and other programs to be carried out from the home office. In conjunction with sales management, create, implement, and follow-through on sales and marketing campaigns within assigned region. This includes ensuring that activity requirements and service standards are met at all times.
• Gather and maintain competitor information and assist management in developing product and sales tools to gain and maintain a competitive advantage; act as a steward for the agents/distribution partners to keep them involved with field climate, trends and other important strategic information.
• Support expense management by completing accurate travel expense reports on time, thoughtfully manage regional expenses, and identify and implement personal expense efficiencies.
• A minimum of 25% travel in region for various producer meetings.
• Maintain a positive image of the company.

What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's Degree and/or 5+ years sales experience in financial services industry (internal, external or combination) Required
  • Ability to work independently and to communicate clearly and concisely with effective written and oral skills
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships-Internally and Externally
  • Excellent presentation skills, both in creation and delivery, to prospective producers/distribution partners of Sammons Financial Group member companies
  • Thorough knowledge of sales and marketing principles and practices
  • Demonstrate exceptional working knowledge of annuity products and company benefits and strengths
  • Proven ability to grow a region/territory as measured by sales, producer growth and persistency of business
  • Effective organizational, time management, sales and presentation skills
  • State life insurance licenses Preferred
  • Travel within region 25% of time

• If the position is in the SIG business unit, Annuity New Business Securities team, or if we are holding securities licenses, FINRA regulations require fingerprinting for this position; if we are holding securities licenses, a credit check will also be required. $70,000 base + sales incentive plan
